This is another entry in a series of posts titled “open house” in which we offer photographic tours of selected projects.

Travel along the beachside route of Highway 30A in the panhandle of the Florida coast and you’ll eventually stumble upon the town of Rosemary Beach. Designed by the urban-planning-poobahs, Duany Plater-Zyberk, the town sits as a modern day design landmark. Almost 20 years ago, we were invited to this burgeoning sandy hamlet to design a new house on one of the town’s pre-immenant sites. Sprawling out across 100 feet of beach frontage, the Bermudan-inspired house was developed as a miniature seaside estate.

If you’ve been searching for an expansive getaway along the white sandy dunes of Florida’s Gulf coast, you’re in luck – this one is for sale!

  1. This house would look wonderful along Spanish Bay in California!
    Beautiful as always.

  2. Peter says:

Bobby, This is stunning! Wouldn’t it be nice to get a % of the sale price each time it sold!

    • DA BROWN says:

As you said in a previous post, “I can create”. Money is a bonus to what we do (hopefully) but striving to add lasting beauty to the world has it’s own rewards, for you and for others.

  3. Rhonda Summerlin says:

Breathtakingly beautiful! Looks like it stepped off the pages “Architectual Digest”.

  4. Valentina Pilot says:

Being from the area, long before the housing developments, it is nice to see something that doesn’t scream I am new!
