Spencer Wilson
Spencer was born in Maryland and raised in Suwanee, Georgia. He was introduced to drawing by at age 5 by his uncle who was professor of drawing at Harvard, RISD, Columbia, Yale, and was director of the graduate architecture program at Indiana University – and incidentally a classmate of Bobby McAlpine. Spencer was an avid lacrosse player, but a major injury brought this to a halt. During his time off, his uncle taught him to draw and paint. The following summer, he traveled to Rome to take part his uncle’s Harvard/Indiana joint study abroad program which focused on drawing from observation. It was during this opportunity he fell in love with drawing. Spencer played lacrosse at Furman University before transferring to Auburn University to pursue a drawing career. He majored in Industrial Design and received his master’s from Indiana University (in the program his uncle helped start). He studied abroad in Rome and Berlin. In his spare time, Spencer enjoys playing golf, tennis, sketching, traveling, and exploring the Atlanta culinary scene with his wife Megan. Spencer can be reach in our Atlanta office.
